Byblos Bank RDC S.A.R.L. – Democratic Republic of the Congo
On 27 March 2010, Byblos Bank S.A.L participated in the capital increase of Solidaire Banque Internationale S.A.R.L, a bank incorporated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Byblos Bank S.A.L became the major shareholder with 66.67 percent of the shares and acquired management control. Renamed Byblos Bank RDC, the Bank operates as an independent subsidiary of the Byblos Bank Group
Byblos Bank RDC provides mainly commercial lending, transfers and payments, letters of credit, letters of guarantee, and documentary collection services. The Democratic Republic of the Congo was a strategic choice for the Byblos Bank Group because it allows us to serve the many Lebanese expatriates who are established there, as well as Congolese businessmen who are interested in working with an internationally renowned bank providing world-class services.
