Byblos Bank Launches its "In Focus" Publication
In the first report of its kind about the impact of the global financial crisis on the flow of expatriates' remittances to Lebanon, Byblos Bank noted that the key reasons for the resilience of remittance inflows are the large stock of emigrants, the lack of exchange-rate effects in source countries, no mass return migration, and the economic risks in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
These findings were released in the first issue of In Focus, a new research publication of the Byblos Bank Group that will provide in-depth analysis of economic and financial topics.
