How Does the Recruitment Process Work?

    Screening and Testing Phase

  • The Planning and Recruitment team screens CVs submitted through various channels (Byblos Bank website, following job fairs, campus announcements, in person etc.)
  • External applicants with appropriate CVs but little or no experience are invited to sit for an Ability Test:

Best performers advance to the Behavioral Assessment Phase;

Applicants with lower scores are informed by e-mail that their applications have been unsuccessful

  • Highly experienced and qualified candidates advance directly to the Behavioral Assessment Phase and then to the Technical Assessment Phase

 

    Behavioral Assessment Phase

  • The Planning and Recruitment team conducts an initial Behavioral Interview with each of the candidates who have scored well on the Ability Test, or whose CVs demonstrated their qualifications
  • The Planning and Recruitment team checks references, prior employment performance, and other background indicators
  • The most qualified candidates go through to the Technical Assessment Phase; others are informed in writing that their applications have been unsuccessful

 

    Technical Assessment Phase

  • Technical Tests (depending on the position) and Interviews are conducted by the hiring manager(s)
  • Applicants whose testing and interview results show the best fit are selected for the Hiring Phase

 

    Hiring Phase

  • The Planning and Recruitment team notifies the successful candidate of his or her selection, and starts preparing the hiring formalities accordingly; other candidates are notified in writing that they have not been selected for the position

How Do We Train Our Team?
Byblos Way is an ambitious concept designed to provide Byblos Bank employees with all the skills they need to serve our customers and build their own careers. The program has developed and produced its own calendar of courses, each with appropriate syllabi, manuals, and tests. The effort is most advanced for Consumer Banking, for which specialized studies are available for several positions, including tellers, personal bankers, branch managers, and assistant branch managers.
In addition to specialized training courses, Byblos Bank employees also benefit from constant monitoring to help them improve their abilities, provide superior advice and service to clients, increase their contributions to the company, and broaden their career prospects.
