Product Manager

Job Description

Byblos Bank Iraq is seeking a locally grounded, product-minded professional with exposure to digital banking to act as the Iraq business point of contact for our digital initiatives. This role will ensure product requirements reflect regulatory expectations, market realities, and operational needs, while supporting coordination across vendors, partners, and internal bank teams.


The person will serve as the primary business sign-off authority in Iraq before requirements move into development.


Location: Erbil

Main Responsibilities

What You’ll Do


  • Act as the Iraq-side business owner for product requirements, reviewing and validating them before development begins.
  • Review Central Bank of Iraq circulars, rules, and updates, and translate them into clear product and operational requirements.
  • Help assess local market needs by monitoring trends in Iraqi digital banking, fintech, and customer behavior.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with vendors and partners supporting the digital banking platform.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (retail, compliance, operations, IT) to gather feedback, unblock decisions, and ensure alignment.
  • Serve as the local point of contact to ensure product decisions reflect regulatory constraints, digital banking best practices, and market realities.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital banking, fintech, banking products, product roles, or business analysis.
  • Exposure to mobile banking, digital onboarding, payments, cards, or related digital financial services.
  • Ability to review and validate product requirements from a business, operational, and regulatory perspective.
  • Familiarity with the Iraqi banking sector and regulatory environment is a strong plus.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and working with vendors or technology partners.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic, Kurdish, and English.
