Myriam Boulos was chosen as the laureate of the 2014 Byblos Bank Award for photography during a ceremony that took place at the BEIRUT ART FAIR in Biel, in the presence of renowned photographers, experts, collectors and photography enthusiasts. 

This year, some 67 emerging Lebanese photographers submitted more than 300 photos in the hope of winning one of Lebanon’s most prestigious photography awards; but the consistency of the approach of Myriam Boulos , the photographic quality of her work (originality of the framing, light treatment, aesthetics...) and their artistic value earned her the third edition of the Byblos Bank Award for photography. The theme on which she worked was the changing nature and appearance of Beiruti partygoers.

Byblos Bank’s prize to Myriam Boulos consists of an expert mentoring program in collaboration with the BEIRUT ART FAIR, which will allow her to sharpen her skills and showcase her work at a solo photo exhibition at Byblos Bank Headquarters – an event promoted through both a targeted media campaign and a personal catalog.

The Byblos Bank Award for Photography, organized in partnership with the BEIRUT ART FAIR, was initiated in 2012 with the Bank’s strong belief that art is a real and renewable resource. It is a central element of the Bank’s mission to support Lebanese art in general and emerging Lebanese photographers in particular.
