How do I add a new card?
Just scan your Byblos Bank Visa Credit Card or enter the full card number and expiry date manually. Follow the steps and your card will be uploaded in seconds.

Can I delete a card from the App?

Yes, you can delete a card at any time. This will not affect the status of your physical card, and you can always add the same card again as long as it remains active.

What do I do when my physical card is renewed or replaced?

If your card is renewed – i.e. the new card has the same card number as your old one – you don’t need to do anything. If your card is replaced – i.e. the card number has changed – you will need to delete your old card from the App and add the new one.

Why can’t I install the App on my mobile?

ByblosPay is available only on NFC-equipped Android devices with operating system version 4.4 (KitKat) or higher.

Why can’t I add my card to the App?

ByblosPay is available only for Visa Credit Cards (not Debit) issued by Byblos Bank.

What do I do if my App isn’t working?

Try uninstalling, then reinstalling the App again. If that doesn’t work, call +961 1 20 50 50 for help.

How do I pay?
Simply open the App, choose the card you want to use if not the Default Card, click on “Pay now”, and hold your mobile over the contactless terminal. If this doesn’t work, make sure the NFC option is set to “On” in your device Settings before approaching the cashier. Locate the contactless symbol () and hold your phone to the reader. When the green lights flash on your screen, the secure transaction is completed. Please see the in-App tutorial for more information.

What does ‘Default Card’ mean?
Your Default Card is the card ByblosPay automatically uses when you make a payment unless you select another card by swiping left or right from the main page. Initially the first card you add to ByblosPay will be the Default Card, but you can change this at any time in the side menu.

How can I manage my cards?

From the side menu, you can view and manage all the cards you have added to ByblosPay. Here you can name and rename your card(s), change your Default Card, delete your card(s) from the App, or add a new card.

What do I do if my phone is lost or stolen?

Call +961 1 20 50 50 to deactivate any card or cards you have added to the ByblosPay App. You will still be able to use your physical card(s) to make normal payments.

Will my statement show payments made using ByblosPay?

Yes. All payments will appear on your card statement like any other transaction made on the same Visa Credit Card.

Can I use ByblosPay abroad?
Yes. You can use ByblosPay wherever you see the contactless symbol ().

If I get too close to a contactless terminal, is there any risk of my card getting accidentally charged for someone else’s purchases?
No. We have designed ByblosPay to ensure that the cardholder is always in control. A terminal is only enabled to receive a payment from you after you click on “Pay now”, and your phone must be held right in front of the card reader for a few seconds in order for the payment to be processed.

Password and Fingerprint Security
Using ByblosPay is just as safe as using your physical card. To protect your App, you will always need to enter your four-digit ByblosPay PIN or your Fingerprint if your phone supports this feature (check your device’s Settings).
